BEFORE WE BEGIN

Since I will be asking a lot about you in our sessions, I figure it would be less intimidating to start if you know a little bit about me first. My hope is that you feel comfortable and safe being vulnerable during our time together. So as far as interests go: I love music, reading, movie night, going on walks with my giant dog, talking on the phone, trying new foods, and spending time with friends and family. My amazing husband and I are from Arizona, and we love it there, but we are falling in love with Texas more with each passing year. I completed my graduate school program in Fort Worth, and I have been working as a psychotherapist since then! It is my joy being able to share a part in helping people’s stories heal and grow. My background in psychology first sparked my curiosity about how our thoughts, behaviors, and relationships shape our stories in life. Over time, I realized I wanted to bring that curiosity into a helping profession—supporting people as they make sense of their experiences and discover new ways to overcome challenges and foster growth. Along the way, I have completed classes and trainings that have led me to growing a passion working with different specializations.

I’m especially passionate about supporting people through grief and loss, complicated relationships, difficult family dynamics, trauma, and major life transitions. I’ve also developed a growing interest in betrayal trauma and the profound ways a loss of trust can affect our relationships, our sense of safety, and the way we see ourselves.

I believe connection is at the heart of healing. More than anything, I want you to feel genuinely seen and supported in our work together. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what you’ve been carrying, and have honest conversations about the things that can be difficult to say anywhere else. My hope is that our relationship provides the trust and safety needed for meaningful healing and growth.

My approach is person-centered and collaborative, meaning I adapt to what each client needs in the moment, whether that’s being direct and supportive, calm and relational, or simply offering a compassionate listening ear. I believe we all share a deep need to feel understood, especially within our closest relationships. Through therapy, we will work together to build insight, establish healthy boundaries, explore belief systems, and process difficult emotions. At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship itself, which I see as the most powerful tool for growth, empowerment, and lasting change.
